Elections for School Learning Council members will take place the week commencing the 18th September 2017. If you would like to put yourself forward to represent your class on the council, then please prepare a 3 minute presentation. Your presentation should outline the skills you have that will help you succeed in this role and why your class mates should vote for you.

 

Skills that make you a good school council member:

  • Good listener.
  • Sensitive speaker.
  • Trustworthy.
  • Helpful.
  • Committed.
  • Reliable.
  • Honest.
  • A good role model.
  • Able to work in a team.
  • Ability to share good ideas.
  • Ability to discuss and not argue.
  • A willingness to develop skills such as confidence, communications and negotiation.

Meeting 2nd May

  • Welcome all new members
  • Nominate a Chair and vice chair.
  • Buddy up with old member who will act as your mentor for this first term.
  • Discussion about challenge in maths lessons at St Georges.

 

Agenda for meeting Wednesday 11th October 2017 2.40pm Class 8

  • Perform a learning walk to comment on the corridor displays.
  • Draw up 5 strengths and 5 action points for feedback to teachers and TA’s for how we can improve our shared areas.
  • Choose 6 pictures to print that best show our school values to display in entrance hall.
